WEST DEPTFORD, N.J. – Dan Golden’s three-run home run just inside the left field foul pole capped a four-run sixth inning as Max Sinoway Little League topped Auburn, 14-4, Friday in the 2003 Senior Little League Eastern Regional.

Golden’s blast ended the game by the 10-run rule, as Max Sinoway LL pounded out 14 hits. The Connecticut state champions took advantage of five Auburn errors in the first inning to jump out to a 6-1 lead and was never threatened after that.

Matt Nadeau and Kevin Pontbriand had two hits apiece for Auburn. Nadeau and Justin Ciszewski each collected a double in Auburn’s seven-hit attack.

Tim Bechner took the win, allowing just four hits and one walk in four innings . David Lutz took the loss for Auburn.

Auburn falls into the elimination bracket and on Sunday will face the loser of Saturdays game between Derry, N.H. and Cambridge, Md.
