RANGELEY – An Irish duo, Glenshane, will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at the Episcopal Church.
The duo, John and Jean Nesbitt, formerly of Rangeley are well-known by residents of the Rangeley region. They were an integral part of the creation and life of The Giving Tree organization here.
In 1990, together with Ron Pasek and Joan Symonds, they created, wrote the music and produced, “The Giving Tree Angel” song.
The public is welcome to come help The Giving Tree celebrate its “sweet sixteenth” year. A reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the undercroft of the church to share memories, remember friends and “angels” gone by. The concert will follow at 8 p.m
Tickets for the concert are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Tickets may be purchased at the chamber or by calling 864-5473.
