Democrat meeting
WATERFORD – The August meeting of the Oxford County Democrats will be on Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Waterford Town Office Building on Route 35 between North Waterford and Waterford Flat. The meeting will begin with a potluck supper at 5:30, followed by the meeting at 6:30. A speaker from CasinosNo will be included in the program. Representatives of the various Democratic presidential campaigns have been invited. Those attending the supper are asked to bring a food item to share. RUMFORD – Christine Elizabeth Simmonds of Rockland, granddaughter of Jack and Louise Zollo of Rumford, was honored as the 2003 Crown Princess at the Maine Lobster Festival held recently in Rockland.
