1950 – 2003
GRAY – Cynthia Eileen Carroll, 53, a long time resident of Gray, passed away on Monday, Aug. 4.
“Cindy” was born Cynthia Eileen Murphy on March 8, 1950, in Hartford, Conn. She married Michael E. Carroll of Gray on Dec. 7, 1974.
She served 18 years on the staff of Gray-New Gloucester High School, where she worked closely with the students and faculty. For the last two years, she worked at Alltech, a division of the Spurwick Institute, where she assisted in the promotion of assistive technologies for the disabled.
An avid gardener, she loved to spend time tending her flowers. She was a passionate lover of animals and was devoted to her many pets. She also enjoyed reading, baking turkey cookies and was learning to play the piano.
Survivors include her husband, Michael of Gray; her son, James and his wife, Melanie of Gorham; her son, Sean of Arlington, Va.; her father and mother-in-law, Robert and Charlene Carroll of Gray; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved pets, Buddy, Ember, DJ and Princess.
