1932 – 2003
FARMINGTON – Maxine A. Dube, 71, a resident of the Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center, formerly of Jay, died Monday, Aug. 4, at the Living Center.
She was born June 17, 1932, in Farmington, a daughter of Roger K. and Susie (Grant) Allen. She was a graduate of Jay High School and Farmington State Teachers College.
On Sept. 4, 1954, she married Kenneth Dube at St. Rose of Lima Church in Chisholm. She taught school in several Maine towns. Her hobbies included gardening, reading and visiting with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth of Jay; two sons, Kenneth Dube Jr. of Sabattus and Ronald Dube and his wife, Debra of Grove City, Ohio; two daughters, Deanne Gage of Jay and Susan Pinkham and her husband Paul of Thomaston; two brothers, Harold Grant of Virginia Beach, Va., and Lawrence Allen and his wife, Gladys of Jay; two sisters, Pauline Duguay and her husband, Edmund of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Janet Diaz and her husband, Joe of Jay; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
