1910 – 2003

LEWISTON – Mary Stover, 92, a resident of Montello Manor and formerly of Davis Street in Lisbon Falls, died Aug. 6, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Born in Lisbon Falls, Oct. 2, 1910, the daughter of the late John and Barbara (Homko) Duricko, she attended Lisbon Falls High School.

In 1938 she married Thornton H. Stover, who died in 1992. Mrs. Stover had been employed at the former Worumbo Mill for 17 years. She assisted in dispatching the Lisbon Falls Fire Department during the 1950s and 1960s. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and being a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Parsons and her husband, Dexter of Lisbon Falls; a granddaughter, Angela Bishop and her husband, Raymond Jr. of Lisbon Falls; two great-granddaughters, Amelia and Brooke Bishop of Lisbon Falls; a sister, Margaret Wile of Pinellas Park, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Daniel Stover in 1969; three sisters, Annie Dugas, Elizabeth Labonte and Frances Miller; and three brothers, John, Michael and Andrew Duricko.
