1942 – 2003

LEWISTON – Myrna E. Riggs, 61, died Saturday, Aug. 9, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. She was a resident of Wyman Hill Road in Rumford.

Born in Peru on April 27, 1942, she was the daughter of John and Pauline Luce Monteith. She received her education in the Rumford school system.

She was married in South Portland on Oct. 26, 1974, to Charles Riggs, who survives of Rumford.

Other survivors include six daughters, Terrie and Katrina Turbide of Rumford, Sherry Davis of Rumford, Shelly Downs of Andover, Marie Sirignano of Bellingham, Mass., and Pauline Turbide of Mexico; a step daughter; Wendy Bernard of Rumford; one brother, Dexter Noonan of Chicago; a sister, Dawana Noonan of Oregon; her step father, Joseph Noonan of Florida; six granddaughters; eight grandsons; four step grandsons; one step granddaughter; one great-grandson; one great-granddaughter; and one aunt, Marlene Porter of Peru.
