LEWISTON – Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion, long-term care facility, hosts a Successful Aging series providing educational sessions on topics related to aging.
Successful Aging will explore the issue of fraud and methods to prevent it from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14. The program will be based on the “Check It Out” program developed by the Office of the Maine Attorney General.
“Check It Out” was designed to reduce the number of Maine seniors becoming victims of mail fraud, charity fraud, investment fraud and telemarketing fraud.
Officer Lee Jones of the Lewiston Police Department will lead the free program in the d’Youville resident dining room. Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are required by calling 777-4038.
Anyone needing information regarding elder care issues can call the Senior Health Line at 755-3000.
