LOS ANGELES (AP) – Actor Tom Sizemore sat at the defense table and cried as his lawyers concluded testimony in his abuse trial by showing a videotape of former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss declaring her love for him.

Sizemore, 41, who has appeared in “Black Hawk Down” and “Saving Private Ryan,” declined to take the witness stand Monday.

He is charged with multiple counts including making about 100 harassing phone calls to Fleiss, vandalism, threatening to inflict injury to a person or property and corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition.

He faces up to 13 years in prison if convicted of all the charges.

Closing arguments were to begin Tuesday.

At one point Fleiss said Sizemore destroyed her collection of figurines with a baseball bat. Fleiss also said she became upset when she learned that Sizemore was employing prostitutes during a movie shoot.

“I found it repulsive that he was trying to build a life with me at the same time,” she said.

Fleiss, 37, reiterated a claim that Sizemore threatened the life of her younger brother.

“All the time we shared, all the experiences, it came down to ‘I’m going to kill your brother,”‘ she said.

The defense case ended with a videotape shot by Fleiss in a hotel room she and Sizemore were occupying during a publicity tour for “Black Hawk Down.” On it, she provides a singsong narration about their activities including an appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show and Sizemore’s appearance on Regis Philbin’s TV show.

“I can’t wait for Tom to get home to tell him how good he was, how handsome he is, how happy he makes me,” she said.

The defense suggests this contradicts her claim that on the same day Sizemore came to the hotel room and beat her so badly that both of them missed the premiere of the movie. Sizemore cried while the tape was playing.
