BETHEL – Planners at the board’s 7 p.m. meeting Wednesday, Aug. 13, in the town office will continue work on a variety of applications.

Following a 6:45 p.m. public hearing on a subdivision plan amendment for Robert Blake’s Pine Haven Subdivision at Pine Haven Lane and Intervale Road, the board will discuss:

• A site plan application for the proposed new $1.3 million Bethel Fire Station by the town of Bethel and architect James Reuter.

• Blake’s subdivision plan amendment.

• Findings of fact for a subdivision and site plan application for Scott Stone’s Mill Hill Residential Tri-Plex to be located on the Mill Hill Road.

At its July 23 meeting, the Planning Board preliminarily approved the new fire station project. However, planners then asked Reuter to submit a final plot plan on Aug. 13 that includes the location/bearing and dimensions of the lot lines to ensure that a property exchange between the town and adjacent Opera House is accurately reflected.

Board Chairman Al Cressy also asked Town Manager Scott Cole to ensure that the deed transfer, which Cole said was complete, is clear.

On July 23, planners found Blake’s application complete except for a missing letter from the Maine Historical Preservation Commission. Blake said he had sent the letter and was awaiting a response, according to the meeting minutes.

The board asked Blake to return on Aug. 13 with additional information about storm water management, soil erosion and a road profile unless planners are satisfied with what they learn about these items in a 4 p.m. site walk that day.

Blake was also asked to provide information from Bethel’s road commissioner regarding private road standards and to ensure that restrictive covenants will be filed with the deed.

New business at Wednesday night’s meeting includes a site plan amendment for Edward Michaud’s Mallard Mart at Route 2 and the Parkway.
