1919 – 2003

SOUTH PARIS – Winona F. Verrill, 84, of South Paris died Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Market Square Health Care Center.

She was born in Paris on April 14, 1919, the daughter of Ralph R. and Marion Tyler Field Sr. She attended South Paris schools and worked in the local shoe shops and at Ashton’s Drug Store in Norway.

She married Harold W. Verrill, he died Aug. 25, 1965. She enjoyed wildlife.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Larry Slattery of West Minot; three grandchildren, Warren and Melissa Slattery, Carol Ann and Darren Bernier and Allison and Joseph Szczesny; six great-grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew, Elaine, Neil, Alex and Laura; a brother, Arthur Field of South Paris; and a sister, Isabelle LaBrecque of South Paris.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Carleton of South Paris, Ralph Jr. of South Paris and Rupert of Bangor.
