1946 – 2003
LEWISTON – Linda Irene Cobb, 56, of New Gloucester, died Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 12, at d’Youville Pavilion. She passed on peacefully surrounded by family and close friends after a fight with cancer.
She was born Aug. 23, 1946, in Milford Mass., a daughter of the late George Post and surviving mother, Gladys Diette. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds and watched the Carroll Devall show regularly, giving most of her creations to family and friends.
She also was greatly inspired by fellowship of friends including: enjoying being the youngest member of the Busy Bees in Poland for many years, happily active in the New Gloucester Bible church which she has many friends and helped with Vacation Bible School, Sunday school, women’s groups and choir.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne and two sons, Steven and David and his wife Susan which includes three stepgrandchildren, Jessica, Heather and Faith, and extended family of Ricky and Nicole Andrews and their two sons; mother, Gladys Diette; sisters, Beetrice and husband Jim Gasset, Diana and husband Cecil Patnode, Beverly and husband Richard Sousa.
