1925 – 2003

LEWISTON – Bertrand P. Pratt, 77, formerly of 159 Walnut St., died Saturday, Aug. 16, at the d’Youville Pavilion Nursing Home. Born in Lewiston on Oct. 31, 1925, he was the son of Philippe and Emelia Therrien Pratt. Educated in local schools, he was employed at W.S. Libby Mill for many. Always athletic, he was an avid golfer, and for many years was the catcher for L/A General Beverages baseball team. He enjoyed working with his hands, and built a camp on Tacoma Lake with his brother Roger. He cherished time spent with his family and friends, and every year enjoyed playing Santa Claus for their children.

A member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, he is survived by a brother, Gerard, and wife Monique Pratt of Lisbon; four sisters, Annette Hamann, Rita Galipeau, Marie and husband Donald Roy, and Lorraine Roy, all of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Roland and Roger; and two sisters, Jeannine Ayotte and Therese Pratt.
