FARMINGTON – Members of the Farmington Emblem Club 460 got involved in Wilton’s bicentennial celebration by preparing food to be served to dignitaries from other parts of the country as well as Europe.
There were representatives from communities named Wilton in England, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa and North Dakota. Area officials attending were Town Manager Peter Neilson, and Selectmen Rodney Hall, Norman Gould, George Mosher, Keith Swett and Jeff Rowe, Sen. Chandler Woodcock, and Shannon Smith, coordinator of the Wilton Bicentennial and a member of the Farmington Emblem Club.
Club members involved in food preparation were: Lisa Thompkins, Nancy Chase, Stacy Dunham, Lois Barker, Robin Bragg, Mabel Cox, Sylvia Brooks, Becky Hinkley, Renee Targett, Candy Clark, Sharon Jacques, Kamilla Hall, Sylvia Richards, Jean Corcoran and Claudette Merchant.
