WILTON – Western Maine Christian Academy will begin the 2003-04 school year Tuesday, Sept. 2. The school is located at 959 Main St.

Classes run Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for grades three through 10. The school is also taking applications to begin a preschool this year.

The staff for the school includes Sheena Richards-Thomas, a teacher-certified graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, who will direct the preschool program and the elementary-grade curriculum.

Covering subjects in the middle school and high school, includes teachers Chris Mason, a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, who will teach the social studies curriculum; Elaine Graff, a certified art teacher; Monica Thomas, a senior at Colby College in the engineering duel degree program through Dartmouth, will teach the Saxon math curriculum and assist with the science program. Theresa Mosher, a senior at UMF completing a language arts degree, will teach in her field of study.

Other classes at the Christian Academy include music appreciation, Spanish, computer keyboarding and Bible. Middle and high school students also utilize the UMF Fitness Center twice a week for the physical education component of their education.
