1918 – 2003
LEWISTON – Blandine K. Falkenham, 85, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Central Maine Medical Center. A lifelong resident of the area, she made her home on the Upton Road in Andover.
She was born in Peru, on April 17, 1918, a daughter of Herbert and Madeline (Knox) Knox, and graduated from the Goodwill Home School Farm in Hinckley, Class of 1937.
She had been employed for over 15 years at the B.F.D Mill in West Peru, prior to her marriage when she became a homemaker.
She enjoyed corresponding by letters and cards with friends and family, and especially loved her family and playing Scrabble and doing crossword puzzles. She was married in Andover, on Oct. 31, 1948 to Harold G. “Buster” Falkenham who survives of Andover.
Other survivors include a daughter, Glenda Meisner and her companion, Danny Manthorne of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia; a son, Brandon Falkenham and his wife Nancy of Laguna Hills, Calif.; four grandchildren, Blake O. Falkenham of Laguna Hills, Calif., Jennifer, Jessica and Jocelyn Meisner all of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia; a brother, Warren Knox of Peru; four sisters, Dorothy Emery and Geneva Goddard of Hanover, Everdine Best of Augusta, and Kathleen Smith of New York.
