MEXICO – On Aug. 26, the RAAPA chorus will hold the first rehearsal for the 35th anniversary show to be presented Nov. 1 and 2.

Songs will include: “Winter Wonderland,” “Sleigh Ride,” “God Bless the USA,” “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “Cabaret,” “Rhythm of Life,” “Oklahoma” and “76 Trombones.”

Six dancers will perform during “And All That Jazz” and “Lullaby of Broadway.” They are Cindy Bohren, Deb Boudreau, Penny Carver, Amber Laliberty, Desiree Murphy and Alyssa Radmore. Connie Zadakis Porter is the choreographer.

Letters have been sent to former chorus members inviting them to join the chorus for “Christmas in a Small Town.”

The RAAPA chorus always accepts new members. There is no audition, although previous choral experience is an advantage since the music is challenging. Singers should bring a rewound, 60-minute audio cassette to the first rehearsal for recording the music.

Rehearsals take place at the Mountain Valley Middle School lecture hall from 6:45 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesdays. For information, contact Judith Kuhn at 364-7242.
