FARMINGTON – Members of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of WWI 2689 recently visited the Veterans Memorial Cemeteries in Augusta. The older cemetery has no lots left. In the new one, a long, curving black wall between the chapel and visitors center, will have names engraved of all buried there. Trees will be cleared as space is needed.
The group also took a walk through the State House and then searched outside for eight additional memorial monuments.
