1937 – 2003

SHELTON, Conn. – Donald LaBrecque, 66, of Bridgeport, Conn., died Friday, Aug. 22, at the home of his daughter in Shelton.

Born in Van Buren on July 2, 1937, he spent his early childhood and schooling years there, later moving to Lewiston. He moved to Connecticut in 1969 where he worked for both Pantry Pride, Waldbaums and most recently in the meat department at BJ’s Wholesale Club.

Survivors include six children, Cynthia Holtzer of Bridgeport, Conn., Karen Ortiz of Palm Bay, Fla., Keith LaBrecque of Trumbull, Conn., Lisa LaBrecque and Sheila LaBrecque, both of Shelton, Conn., and Shawna LaBrecque of Derby, Conn.; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers and one sister, all of Maine.
