1908 – 2003

LEWISTON – Yvette G. Lafleur, 94, of 7 Beacon St., Lewiston, died Friday, Aug. 22, at her home and surrounded by her family.

Born in Lewiston on Dec. 26, 1908, she was the daughter of Joseph and Hedwidge Gosselin Beaudry. Educated in local schools, she married William H. Lafleur on Jan. 30, 1928. Mr. Lafleur passed away on Sept. 30, 1996.

A devoted wife and mother, she lived with her family in Rumford for 35 years, returning to Lewiston in 1963.

A member of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish, she belonged to the Ladies of St. Anne. She was a former parishioner of St. John’s, now St. Anthanasius Church, in Rumford.

Survivors include four sons, Normand of Lewiston, Gerard of South Windsor, Conn., Paul of Manchester, Conn., and Richard and his wife Sally of Pinon Hills, Calif.; two daughters, Carmen Leberski, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Claire and her husband Jerry Lapham of Toano, Va.; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two daughters, Ann Lafleur and Lorraine Spencer; six brothers; and three sisters.
