Labor Day will change City Council meeting schedules for both Lewiston and Auburn this month.

The Auburn City Council normally meets on the first and third Mondays of the month. The first Monday in September falls on Labor Day, so councilors have moved their meeting back a week. The meetings this month are Sept. 8 and 22.

The Auburn council meets on the top floor of the Auburn City Building, 45 Spring St. Meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. with workshop meetings. Regular meetings begin at 7 p.m.

The Lewiston council normally meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Councilors agreed to move their meetings to Sept. 9 and 23.

A 6 p.m. workshop normally scheduled for the second Tuesday will be Sept. 16.

Regular council meetings begin at 7 p.m. in council chambers downstairs in Lewiston City Hall, 27 Pine St.
