LEWISTON – Common Ties Mental Health announces the election of Patrick O’Brien and Terry Getchell to the board of directors for the nonprofit, human service agency

Common Ties, a United Way funded agency, provides community support services throughout Androscoggin County to persons having a mental health illness. Common Ties is also a community development supported agency of the cities of Auburn and Lewiston.

Getchell, a member of the 100 Pine Street Social Center, has recently completed the Maine Leadership Institute and is serving on the program committee of the board, as well as serving as member council chairman.

O’Brien has been a consultant in the health care field for more than 25 years. He previously provided consulting services to the agency in the area of continuous quality improvement, strategic planning and organizational development. O’Brien serves on the planning and zoning board of appeals in New Gloucester. He will serve on the agency’s community resource and development committee.
