1952 – 2003

TURNER – Conrad R. Duval, 50, of 10 Harlow Hill Road, Turner died Saturday, Aug. 23, at home with his family by his side following a battle with cancer.

He was born in Lewiston on Dec. 16, 1952, the son of Carmen (Beauchesne) and Laurier Duval and has been a resident of this community all his life.

After graduating from Lewiston High School in 1970, he continued his education at CMVTI to receive certification in metal fabrication and a master oil burner license.

He put his esteemed knowledge and craftsmanship to use at Lebel’s Sheet Metal, SMD, and for the past 15 years, Auburn Metal Fabrication as a shop supervisor. His first devotion, however, was to his-family.

On March 2, 1973 he married Cheryl Chabot at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston. They celebrated their 30th anniversary this year. He was active in sports, Boy Scouts, and many other activities with his children Jeffrey Duval of Florida. Sgt. Matthew Duval currently serving in the USMC in Hawaii, and daughter, Jaime Duval, adventurer extraordinaire.

He enjoyed hockey, camping with his family, keeping their cars running great, teaching new babies how to walk, volunteering his time for school fundraisers and events, and entertaining everyone with his antics.

Also surviving are his two brothers, Roger Duval of Unity, Richard and his wife, Tessa Duval of Oxford; his sister, Diane Duval Theberge of Lewiston; his father, Laurier Duval of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

His mother, Carmen, predeceased him in 2002.

He was a character, loving father, husband, brother and son who will be profoundly missed by all.
