WEST PARIS – The West Paris Athletic Association announces sign-ups for Oxford Hills Majorettes. Registration begins Friday, Sept. 5, from 3 to 4 p.m., at the Agnes Gray School in West Paris; 3 to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at Oxford Elementary School; 4:30 to 5:30 Madison Avenue School, Oxford; 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, Oxford Hills Junior Middle School; 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, Waterford Elementary School. Classes start on Friday, Sept. 12.
The majorettes will be holding a car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Wal-Mart. For more information, call Lisa Kurtz at 674-3730.

WEST PARIS – Ring McKeen Post 151, American Legion and Auxiliary, recently entertained the county council at a cookout
Ellie Newell of Bryant Pond spoke on the Veterans Home in South Paris. She said there are three kinds of living arrangements and spoke of the requirements for residence and services offered.

Bridge results
NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge played a 5 table Howell movement on Aug. 22. Heading up first place was Eric and Marilyn Sahlberg. Second went to Woody Mercier and Anna Cormier. Pam and Errol Libby came in third followed by Adele McDermott and Penny Tougas who are new players to the group.
