First of all, I applaud you for refusing to let your “Solarium” site be used for distribution of hatred.
Secondly, I found your coverage of the inspection sticker process on Aug. 24 excellent and would like to see garages paid a reasonable fee, for instance $25, for this process.
Many garages seek the inspection process as a means for creating business. They site things that may not be a safety issue but may be a maintenance issue. Many skim over the process because they can make more money doing mechanic work. I want my car safe to be on the road. I want everyone else’s car safe so they won’t create an accident in my space.
Thirdly, if I may, I say, “Hurrah for Ms. Wentworth!!” who states in her letter last week that she is proud to be a Democrat. (Aug. 22)
I want to say, “I am proud to be a liberal.” Funk and Wagnall’s defines liberal as, “manifesting a free and generous heart, bountiful. Appropriate or fitting for a broad and enlightened mind. Progressive. Free from narrowness, bigotry or bondage.”
