Alana MacDonald has a fractured skull and a punctured lung from the rollover.
MADISON, N.H. (AP) – A member of the New England folk group Devonsquare was seriously injured in a car crash and has been hospitalized in Maine, a member of the group said Thursday.
Singer and violinist Alana MacDonald was in fair condition at Maine Medical Center in Portland, after a single-car crash Tuesday night in Madison, group member Tom Dean said.
Dean said MacDonald was alone in the car when it rolled over on a dirt road.
He said she suffered a fractured skull and punctured lung. She lives in nearby Eaton.
The three-member group canceled a weekend appearance in Ossipee and will call off two others scheduled for next month.
Devonsquare has been together for 27 years, touring the United States and Europe. It has released five CDs.
