I couldn’t believe the sweet innocence in the article “Mainers Pay More at Pump” (Aug. 24).

Who are all these people kidding? They don’t understand why the price of gas jumped overnight? Fact: We are headed in to the Labor Day weekend and, like most holiday weekends, greed sets in, starting with the supplier, distributors, etc. Who’s going to cancel family outings for a little increase in gas price?

Need anyone say more? Some things never change.

I’m not disgruntled but really disgusted.
