RUMFORD – Western Maine Beekeepers Association is having a slide show and presentation by Tony Jadczak, state apiarist, on preparing honey bees for winter. The presentation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Rumford Library. There is no cost for this session, and it is open to all local beekeepers.

This past winter was hard on honey bees, and Jadczak will share the latest information on over-wintering strategies and medications to help assure survival.
