I read the Molly Ivin’s column with some amusement. (Aug. 24)
Let’s see. President Bush has seen his energy bill, which earmarks money for transmission-grid upgrades amongst other things, held up by hostile Democrats for two years. Now we know why.
We can safely shut down all our nuclear power plants, destroy all our dams and tear down our oil and coal fired power plants. Out with all pollution. We are able to satisfy all our electrical needs by building windmills.
I always thought the liberal, left-wing was nothing but wind. Now it appears I am correct.
Even if I am on the wrong side of history, economics, technology, progress and the environment, I am still right about the left.
