1938 – 2003
LEWISTON – John Moffett, 65, of New Vineyard, died Sunday, Aug. 31, at CMMC following a short illness.
He was born May 25, 1938, in Lancaster, N.H., a son of Howard and Ernestine (Hood) Moffett. He was educated in Strong schools and for many years worked in Rockland at Crow Rope. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, traveling and fishing.
He is survived by sons, Rickey, Ronnie and Randy Moffett; his mother, Ernestine Wallace of Strong; a brother, Michael Moffett and his wife, Katherine of Farmington; one sister, Sharon Allen of New Vineyard; half-sisters, Althea Toothaker of Harpswell and Dianna Worthley of Roxbury; and very special friends, Martha Bell of Georgia, and Alvin Goodwich of Rockland.
He was predeceased by a son, John Jr.
