The planners are expecting between 2,000 and 3,000 people to attend this two-day event.
RUMFORD – Tammi Lyons of the River Valley Chamber of Commerce introduced Rosie Bradley to the Rumford Area Rotary Club recently. Bradley spoke about the River Valley Expo scheduled for Sept. 26 and 27 at Mountain Valley High School.
The expo will showcase everything the River Valley has to offer. The plan is to have businesses, nonprofit organizations and recreation and education activities all under one roof to showcase to people from away and to those living in the River Valley. The Expo will include a “Taste of the River Valley’ in which local restaurants will be selling food.
Bradley said there are still four of these booth spaces left. There will also be a kids’ extravaganza with activities for children.
This expo has been in the planning stage for more than two years during which planners visited other expos and did a lot of research. This has been a collaborative effort with many organizations and people of the River Valley.
Bradley said that she has worked with many committees and that this committee is the best that she has ever worked with. As a result of this collaboration, and partnering with the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition, there will be an art and photography exhibit and a “Living Well in the River Valley” which will showcase all the health field options and availabilities in the area. There will be seminars and entertainment throughout the day.
The planners are expecting between 2,000 and 3,000 people to attend this two-day event. Sponsors of the event will get recognition and exposure in radio, TV and newspaper advertising as well as exposure during the event.
