1928 – 2003

AUBURN – Robert E. Davis, 75, of Minot died Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Clover Manor.

He was born in Lisbon Falls on March 22, 1928, the son of Harry and Maude Vosmus Davis. He attended Durham schools and Edward Little High School.

He was a plumber working for Ted Walker and Ellsworth Blair before operating his own plumbing business until his retirement in 1989.

He married the former Ruth Bradbury on Oct. 12, 1947. He was a 50-year member of Tyrian Lodge 73 AF & AM and a member of the Kora Temple. He enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, hunting and animals.

He especially enjoyed taking his dog “Rodney” for rides on the four wheeler. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Minot; two sons, Steven and his wife Sharon of Minot and Stuart and his wife Kim of Waterford; five grandchildren, Steven Davis, Stacy Whetzell, Amy Vaillancourt, Andrew Davis and Brit Davis; a sister, Doris Sullivan of Augusta; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Forest and Harold.
