LEWISTON – Advocates for Children, the child abuse prevention agency in Androscoggin County, is offering a 45-hour course for educators and other professionals titled “Responding to Child Abuse.”
The course will be offered from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 16 to Dec. 2 at Central Maine Medical Center. Participants will need to provide their own lunch.
The course offers an opportunity to learn more about current child abuse and neglect issues from professionals presenting on topics in their fields of expertise. Among the topics will be the legal system, protecting children online and medical perspectives of child abuse and neglect.
