1924 – 2003

LEWISTON – Eva M. Danforth, 79, a resident of 90 Roak St., Auburn died Tuesday evening, Sept. 2, at Central Maine Medical Center following a long illness.

She was born July 5, 1924, in Litchfield, the daughter of Vinton Woodbury and Lovica (Audine) Danforth. She attended Litchfield schools and had been employed in the both the local textile and shoe industries. She also worked in area restaurants.

Following retirement, she enjoyed gardening, knitting, and going to area festivals, craft shows, and fairs.

Survivors include four sons, Larry of Wilton, Dave of Westbrook, Sydney Jr. and Peter Danforth both of Auburn; one sister, Mrs. Florence Knight of Auburn; two granddaughters; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; as well as one special niece, Florence Lajoie of West Newfield.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Peg Williams and Charlotte Descheneaux.
