AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer classes in QuickBooks beginning in September.

Introduction to QuickBooks (CPT 059-21) will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 8 through Oct. 6.

QuickBooks Advanced (CPT 074-21) will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays from Oct. 20 through Nov. 17. The cost of each class is $195 and includes materials. Classes will be held in Kirk Hall on campus.

Participants will learn how to set up an accounting system for a company, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, create invoices, bill customers, print checks and create financial statements. A basic understanding of Windows is recommended. The class will be taught by Ken O’Brien, who owns a computer consulting company in Woolwich and specializes in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and Web design.
