JAY – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Monday on Route 4 just north of the library.
Ashley Wainwright, 19, of Windham was traveling north on Route 4 and veered to the extreme right striking a mail delivery vehicle, a Ford wagon, operated by Jason Hilliard, 29, of Livermore Falls, Jay Police Chief Larry White Sr. stated in a release.
The accident occurred just before 2 p.m.
Both Wainwright and Hilliard were taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington and were still being evaluated early Monday evening.
