1944 – 2003
WEST GARDINER – Ronda Rote, 58, a resident of West Gardiner, died very unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 5, at her home.
She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 16, 1944, the daughter of John G. and Priscilla Alden Rote. She was a 1962 graduate of Monmouth Academy in Monmouth and furthered her education at the University of Maine in Farmington receiving her degree in 1977 and her Masters in 1980 in Speech-Language Pathology.
She worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston and for the schools of Wales, Sidney, Manchester, Buckfield, and most recently Dresden. She also was in private practice at Griffiths & Associates in Auburn.
Her hobbies included boating and reading. She was a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
She is survived by her mother, Priscilla Rote of Auburn; two daughters, Shelli Sanborn of Mechanic Falls and Terri Nadeau and her husband Gerry of Monmouth; two sisters, Joan Logan and her husband Donald of York and LeeAnn Endicott and her husband Tom of Tennessee; a brother, Steven J. Rote of Connecticut; two grandchildren, Tyler and Brittany Nadeau; and a former husband, Wayne M. Sanborn of Monmouth.
She was predeceased by her father; and her companion, Stephen Perry on April 28.
