STANDISH – Freshman Laura Gagnon scored the game winning goal late in the second half to lift the University of Southern Maine to a 2-1 over St. Joseph’s college Tuesday.

Eva Hanson netted a goal for the Huskies (3-0), while Devin Edwards and Kelsey Shamano were each credited with an assist. Rachel Kwantz made two saves for the Huskies win.

Tiffany Miller scored the lone Monks (0-3) goal in the first half of the contest.
