RUMFORD – Most officers were re-elected to their positions with the River Valley Growth Council last week while several new members were elected to represent their respective towns from the private sector.

Re-elected were Joseph Derouche, Mexico, president; Richard Lovejoy, Rumford, vice-president; and Richard Pierce, Dixfield, secretary. Bill Hine, Peru, was elected as the new treasurer, replacing Rich Allen, Mexico, who chose not to run again.

Ed Paterson, Rumford, was elected to replace longtime member Tom Dickson, who chose not to run. Re-elected to represent Rumford were Dieter Kreckel and Lovejoy. Ernie Robichaud and Diane Perry were again chosen to represent Mexico.

In Carthage, Keith Cochran was chosen, while Linda Koris was elected to represent Roxbury. Representatives from Byron and Hanover are still needed.
