LEWISTON – Joseph A. Touchette, 56, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Central Maine Medical Center. He was a resident of Burgess Hill Road in Rumford.
Born in Rumford, on May 10, 1947, he was the son of Alfred and Mary (Massaro) Touchette.
He was a graduate of Mexico High School. He worked for Mead Paper Co. as a rummer on No. 10 Paper Machine.
He was a member of Blazing Star Lodge 30 AF & AM and was a retired member of the Exiles Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and snowmachiner.
He was married on March 30, 1971 to Kathleen Knox who survives of Rumford; other survivors include three sons, Joe of Rumford, David and his wife Chris of Lisbon, Kasey and his fiancé Julie Jones of Wilton; a daughter, Kim White and her husband Robert of Rumford; his parents, Alfred and Mary Touchette of Roxbury; six grandchildren, Kristen and Katchina Touchette of Rumford, Lisa Kimball of Dixfield, Missy Kimball of Rumford, Zoe and Eli Touchette of Lisbon; great-grandson, Damon Donahue of Dixfield; and a brother, Anthony and his wife Bridget of Scarborough; two stepgrandchildren, Samantha Maretto of Dixfield, Robert White III of Biddeford; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kody and Erica Maretto of Dixfield.
He was predeceased by a sister, Dora Touchette.
