LIVERMORE FALLS – Forty-four members of the Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens attended the first meeting of the fall season Monday, Sept. 8, at Murray Hall.

Chairman Shirley Couture led the business and Mary Groleau led the group in singing “Let There Be Peace on Earth.” Marilyn DeSoto gave the treasurer’s report.

Listed as sick were Henry Poulin, Leda Slovak, Lionel Richards, Blanche Bilodeau, Irene Moreau and Theresa Beaudette.

It was announced that Seniors Plus of Wilton will have a trip to the Balsams and to the “Magic of Christmas.” More information may be obtained by calling 645-3315.

Nellie Tidswell also has a trip planned to Indian Head, and she may be reached at 782-8784.

Plans were made to hold a Chinese auction on Sept. 29.
