1927 – 2003

ROCKVILLE, Conn. – Ruth C. Mattson, 76, of Storrs, Conn., passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sept. 8, at Rockville General Hospital.

Born April 20, 1927, in Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Henry T. and Anna (Tervo) Lundstrom. She was a graduate of Bridgton Academy and member of the National Honor Society.

Survivors include her son, Paul J. Mattson of Harrison; two daughters, Patricia Kleinman of Storrs, Conn., and Kathy Houghtaling of N.C.; five grandchildren; and a sister. Eva Bean of Florida.

She was predeceased by her husband, John T. Mattson; a brother, Lawrence Lundstrom of Waterford; and two sisters, Marianna Preble of East Bridgewater, Mass., and May Seilonen of Oxford.
