KITTERY – St. Dom’s tallied a pair of goals with only four minutes gone in the first half as Shawn Longley and Josh Dwinal each tickled the twine with an unassisted goal to lead the Saints (3-0) to a 2-1 win over host Traip Academy in WMC soccer action.

Nate Hamlyn turned back 11 shots to register the victory.

Traip’s lone goal came as Rob Rochester found the back of the net late in the second half to avoid the shutout.

Lewiston 1, Skowhegan 0

LEWISTON – Hamdi Naji stuffed the only goal of the game with 3:22 left in double overtime to lift Lewiston to a 1-0 win over Skowhegan in KVAC boys’ soccer action Friday.

The Indians (0-3) had a great defensive outing, turning back 25 shots before succumbing to a shot piloted into the lower right corner of the net by Naji.

The Blue Devils (1-1-1) notched their first win of the season behind some fine defensive action from Ben Fournier, Alain Prevost and Tony Travaglini.

Maranacook 2, Mt. View 0

READFIELD – Charlie Calligan netted a pair of goals to lead Maranacook to a 2-0 win over Mt. View in KVAC boys’ soccer action Friday.

Calligan received assists from Pat Bates and Matt Bassette as the Black Bears (3-0) remain undefeated on the season. Tyler Simpson controlled the ball at midfield to keep the Mustangs (1-2) from gaining any momentum.

Mustang goalie Alex Mitchell did well to defend 15 shots, while Piner Markovachick faced only one shot on goal for the Black Bears.

Rangeley 2, Vinalhaven 2

RANGELEY – James Raymond found the net with three minutes left to play to send Rangeley and Vinalhaven into overtime and evenutally home with a 2-2 tie Friday afternoon.

Jimmy Goodwin notched the first goal for the Lakers (1-1-1) and assisted Raymond’s tally.

Kelsey Ozgood and Josh Miller both scored for the Vikings (1-0-1), while Josh Doughty made 13 saves in net.

Hall-Dale 6, Livermore Falls 0

LIVERMORE FALLS – Adam Pratt headed a ball just past the outstretched arms of the Livermore Falls keeper for the only goal Hall-Dale would need as they cruised to a 6-0 win in MVC boy’s soccer action Friday afternoon.

Jay Skillings chipped in with a pair of goals while John Vitti, Ben Church, and Dan Vorner rouned out the Bulldogs (1-1) scoring.

Messalonskee 4, Leavitt 2

TURNER – John Fisher drilled an unassisted goal late in the first half to snap a 2-all tie, sending Messalonskee to a 4-2 win over Leavitt in KVAC soccer action Friday afternoon.

Dustin Snow added a pair of first-half goals and Chris Brink iced the game with an unassisted goal in the second half.

Andy Moreau and Jeff Truchon scored for the Hornets (0-2).

Keith Leavasseur turned back five shots to record the win.

Carrabec 3, Telstar 1

BETHEL – Corey McLaughlin led a trio of goal scorers Friday as Carrabec sailed past Telstar 3-1 in boys’ soccer action.

Derek Jordan and Mat Leger also tallied goals for the Cobras (2-1). John Cretien made 12 saves in net to earn the win.

Kurt Wight scored the lone goal for the Rebels (1-1-1), while Simon Dumont made the assist.

Monmouth 3, Jay 1

JAY – Tyler Stanchfield netted a pair of goals Friday to pace Monmouth to a 3-2 victory over Jay in a MVC soccer matchup.

Steve Werder chipped in for the Mustangs with an unassisted goal with 10 minutes left in the first half to round out the tally.

Ryne Aubrey tallied the lone goal for the Tigers (0-3), while Shane Bourgault made six saves in net.

Mt. Blue 2, Mt. Ararat 1

FARMINGTON – Luke Ferreira scored the winning goal with less than two-minutes remaining in double overtime to lift Mt. Blue to a 2-1 triumph over Mt. Ararat in KVAC boys’ soccer action Friday.

Ferreira tied the game at 1-1 for the Cougars (2-1) on an unassisted goal in the second half to send the contest into overtime.

After collecting the loose ball on a collision, Ferreira drilled the double overtime goal past Eagles (1-1-1) goalie Ryan Vermette for the win.
