Candlelight vigil

FARMINGTON – A candlelight vigil remembering victims of terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, was held on the library green at UMF Thursday night. The Student Council provided red, white and blue candles to a gathering of more than 60 students and community people.

UMF administrator Allen Berger spoke to the crowd about the individuals who were lost, then encouraged his listeners to go beyond lighting candles, but to use the tragedy as an opportunity and a stimulus for learning.
