1925 – 2003

EAST WINTHROP – Ina L. Jolin, 78, died at her home late Monday evening, Sept. 15, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Washburn, on March 1, 1925, the daughter of Harvey and Mary (Clark) Everett. She was a 1942 graduate of Washburn High School. Also in 1942, she married Clyde Parker, and for the next several years dedicated her life to raising her four children.

After raising her children, she was employed by Central Maine Power for 25 years. She was predeceased by her ex-husband, Clyde, in 1987. In 1978, she married Simon Joseph Jolin. She and Simon, among other things, enjoyed traveling together throughout the United States. He predeceased her in 1998.

In addition to traveling, she enjoyed crafts throughout much of her life. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion, Alfred W. Maxwell Jr. Post No. 40 in Winthrop for 33 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Moore of North Jay; her three sons, Marvin Parker of East Winthrop, Edward Parker and his wife, Lynda of Pittston, and Lynn “Hal” Parker of Nyack, N.Y.; four sisters, Hazel D’Amico of Ocala, Fla., Theora Jansen of South Portland, Marcella Dean of Dover, N.H., and Mrs. Leslie Milbury (Ruth) of Rochester, N.H.; 27 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend and companion, her dog “Sonny”.

She was predeceased by her two husbands, Clyde and Simon; her two brothers, Manzer and Story Everett; and two sisters, Gladys Conley and Olive Everett.
