RUMFORD – The Acadian Society will not meet Thursday, Sept. 18, but will get together for a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at the St. A and J parish center.

RUMFORD – The women of the Stephens High School class of 1949 will meet for their monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the Far East in Mexico.

50th reunion

RUMFORD – Stephens High School class of 1953 will hold its 50th class reunion at the Town and Country Inn in Gorham, N.H., starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.

Bridge results

RUMFORD – Winners at the Rumford Duplicate Bridge Club on Sept. 11 have been announced. There was a tie for first place between the team of Donna Sweet and Woody Mercier and the team of Marilyn and Eric Shalburg. Third was George Kimball and Bob Soucy.
