LADY LAKE, Fla. – Vena Geraldine Hardy, 80, passed away on July 13, in Lady Lake, Fla., surrounded by her family.
She was bon in Milo, and was raised in Wilton and Norridgewock. She graduated from Central Maine School of Nursing in 1944 and remained active in the Red Cross and the Registered Nurses Retired Club in Lady Lake.
She was also active in Girl Scouts and served as President of the Mistickside (MA) Girl Scout Council for several years. She was an avid reader, traveler, cook and gardener and greeted life with a smile.
She was a loving wife for over 50 years to her true love, George W. Hardy who predeceased her. She was a caring mother and loyal friend and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by three daughters, Susan E. Hardy and Anne E. Hardy of Amesbury, Mass., Deborah Raw and son-in-law, David of Copiague, N.Y.; granddaughters, Kimberlee Cameron of Amesbury, Mass., and Kellee and her husband, Rob Waterman of Newton, N.H.; and brother, Gerald Hamilton of Alaska.
