1931 – 2003

GREENE – Antoinette M. Nelson, 72, of 86 Sullivan Road, Greene, died Friday, Sept. 19, at her residence. Born in St. Agatha Sept. 8, 1931, a daughter of Joseph and Rose Chasse Derosier she was educated in St. Agatha schools. She was married to John E. Nelson Oct. 18, 1980. He died Sept. 21, 1999.

Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Auburn Catholic Community at Sacred Heart Church and worked at Bath Iron Works retiring Sept. 1, 1996. She was a life member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 158 Lisbon, VFW Post Lisbon and the Left Hand Club. She enjoyed cooking, making stainglass, gardening and reading.

She is survived by four daughters, Antoinette and John Vallerand of Greene, Mary and Danny Tipsword of Phippsburg, Arlene Taylor and Barry Bacon of Bellegrade, Catherine and Patrick Thibodeau of Leeds; two sons, Adrian and Kathy Larue of Westfield, Mass., Louis and Sherrille Larue of Auburn; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Leo and Theresa Daigneault of Auburn, Jeannette Beaudoin of Lewiston, Sister Gilberte Derosier of Sherbrooke, P.Q., William and Pauline Coolidge of Lisbon, Richard and Aline Provencher of Auburn; three brothers, Roger Bourgoin of Brunswick, George and Doris Bourgoin, Louis and Katherine Bourgoin all of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her mom and dad; and three brothers, Alfie Derosier, Regis and Stanley Bourgoin.
