TOGUS – William O. Flewelling Jr., 79, of West Hill Road, Gardiner, died Thursday morning, Sept. 18, following a long illness.
He was born on Oct. 1, 1923, in Clinton, a son of William Sr. and Grace E. Dill Flewelling. He served in the Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Flewelling of Gardiner; his daughter, Anita Surette of Auburn; his son, John Flewelling of Indiana; his two sisters, Alice Adams, and Rheba Michaud, a stepson, Jack Emack; six grandchildren; one stepgrandson; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
