LEWISTON – Police arrested a Lewiston man on a charge of gross sexual assault Saturday after several hours of investigation. Detective Brian O’Malley arrested Lee R. Roy, 33, of 10 Grove St., at 6:29 a.m. after receiving a report about a sexual assault occurring earlier that morning. Roy was being held at Androscoggin County Jail on $1,500 bail. His court date is set for Nov. 12.
The arrest was made at 171 Park St., but the incident occurred elsewhere in Lewiston, according to police. The victim is an adult.
